The Star of David, the Pentagram and the Hexaram

It is important for people to be able to distinguish between the symbol "The Star of David" and the "satanic hexagram" and other "star" symbols which is the reason for this blog posting.

Another point to consider is this:
" Plato said: "Signs and symbols rule the world not words nor laws" (Plato 428 B.C. - 348 B.C.). In addition, there is very little accurate information on the internet about these symbols so that is another reason as to why I have made this blog posting.

The Star of David: A Symbol of Unity between YHWH and Man:

The Star of David is a six-pointed figure consisting of two interlaced/interwoven equilateral triangles, used as a Jewish and Israeli symbol. C. The interwoven Star of David symbolizes the union of YHWH our ABBA and man.

The most important Scripture Verses about the Star of David:
Yashuah's birth was announced by a star: Matthew/Mattithyahu 2:9-10, HalleluYah Scriptures:
"9 And having heard the sovereign, they went. And see, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, until it came and stood over where the Child was. 10 And seeing the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy."

A star will come out of Jacob/Ya'aqob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel/Yisra'el: Numbers/Bemidbar 24:17, HalleluYah Scriptures:

"I see Him, but not now; I observe Him but not near. A Star shall come out of Ya'aqob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Yisra'el, and shall smite the corners of Mo'ab, and shall destroy all the sons of Sheth."

The Star in the East:
Matthew/Mattithyahu 2:2, HalleluYah Scriptures:
'"saying, "Where is He who has been born Sovereign of the Yahudim [Jews]? For we saw His star in the East and have come to do reverence to Him.'"

The Bright and Morning Star:
Revelation/Hazon 22:16, HalleluYah Scriptures: Very important verse!!
'"I, Yahshua, have sent My messenger to witness these to you in the assemblies, I am the Root and the Offspring of Dawid, the Bright and Morning Star.'"
Here Yahshua is saying that He is the Bright and Morning Star but in the worldly "Bibles" say that Lucifer is the bright and morning star which is a blasphemy!

The Shield of David:
Psalms/Tehillim 18:2-3, HalleluYah Scriptures:
2 YHWH is my rock and my stronghold and my deliverer; My El is my rock, I take refuge in Him; My shield and the horn of my deliverance, my high tower. 3 I call upon YHWH, the One to be praised,"

The origin of the name "The Star of David" according to Wikipedia:
"The Jewish Encyclopedia cites a 12th-century Karaite document as the earliest Jewish literary source to mention a symbol called "Magen Dawid" (without specifying its shape).

The name 'Shield of David' was used by at least the 11th century as a title of Elohim of Israel, independent of the use of the symbol. The phrase occurs independently as a Divine title in the Siddur, the traditional Jewish prayer book, where it poetically refers to the Divine protection of ancient King David and the anticipated restoration of his dynastic house, perhaps based on Psalm 18, which is attributed to David, and in which Elohim is compared to a shield  *(v. 2 -3 see above). The term occurs at the end of the "Samkhaynu/Gladden us" blessing, which is recited after the reading of the Haftara portion on Saturday and holidays.
*Note: Wikipedia lists different Scripture verses for the Shield of David and I have put the one I have found into this paragraph.

The earliest known text related to Judaism which mentions a sign called the "Shield of David" is Eshkol Ha-Kofer by the Karaite Judah Hadassi, in the mid-12th century CE:
"Seven names of angels precede the mezuzah: Michael, Gabriel, etc. …Tetragrammaton protect you! And likewise the sign, called the "Shield of David", is placed beside the name of each angel."
Note: It is best not to trust most literature which is not related to the Scriptures. Most likely the "Jewish" documents listed in Wikipedia above are about Judaism and not about being a Follower of Yahshua. But, the information might be useful since it points at the Magen Dawid/The Star of David as being a symbol between YHWH and man.

More information about the Star of David:

There is more information about the Star of David and I might add more information later on. One example is, that the Star of David has 7 fields in which to write the 7 days of the week and the 1st day is on the top triangle and the last one in the center field since it is the most important day, the Sabbath Day.

Note: I will not be showing images of any other star than the Star of David. If you want to know what the other stars look like you can look them up on google.

The most satanic symbol in existence: The Hexagram:
According to ex-satanist Doc Marquis, the difference between the Star of David and the hexagram is that the Star of David consists of 2 equilateral triangles that are interwoven which symbolizes the union of YHWH with man. The hexagram also consists of 2 equilateral triangles but these triangles are not interwoven as in the Star of David, but are one triangle placed on top of the other one. The meaning of placing the two triangles on top of each other is that man is above YHWH which makes the hexagram satanic/evil. In addition, some hexagrams have a circle around the star which also has an occult meaning.

In another video on YouTube, ex satanist Doc Marquis mentions that the hexagram is the most satanic symbols of the occult world and that this symbol is used to conjure up demonic spirits.

The Name Hexagram comes from its shape which is a hexagon:
When a circle is places around the hexagram then it does take on the shape of a hexagon so that is, most likely, where the name hexagram comes from. The hexagram is often used in ritual ceremonies in the mystical world of black magic. It is a star-shaped figure formed by two intersecting equilateral triangles. Any of a set of sixty-four figures made up of six parallel whole or broken lines, occurring in the ancient Chinese I Ching." This chinese I Ching is a book about divination and was published in the late 9th century B.C.

The upward and the downward pointing Pentagram:
Definition of the Name Pentragram:
A pentagram (sometimes known as a pentalpha or pentangle or a star pentagon) is the shape of a five-pointed star drawn with five straight strokes. The word pentagram comes from the Greek word πεντάγραμμον (pentagrammon), from πέντε (pente), "five" + γραμμή (grammē), "line".

The upward pointing Pentagram  has positive energy:
The upward pointing Pentagram means worshiping love, life, and white magic and is therefore a positive symbol. This star has one triangle pointing to the top and two on the bottom. The 5 pointed stars on the American flag, the star that a sheriff might have, are examples ot the upward pointing pentragram. The upward pointing pentagram gives off positive energy and is often confused with the downward pointing pentagram which also has 5 points. The upward pointing pentagram star symbol is non-satanic because of the way it is dsiplayed with two points on the bottom and one on the top which gives it the name "upward pointing pentagram."  In addition, the upward pointing pentagram does not have a circle around it like the downward pointing pentagram that is used in the occult often has.

Wikipedia: Pentagram

The downward pointing pentagram has a satanic, negative meaning:
A downward pointing pentagram is a 5 pointed symbol of a star usually but not always encased with a circle. The downward pointing pentagram signifies the worshiping of death, destruction, black magic, and general negativity. This downward pointing pentagram has two triangles on the top which are supposed to signify the two horns of a goat headed figure. The main difference is that if the pentagram has two triangles on top instead of on the bottom, then it is satanic.

The downward pointing pentagram is the symbol of satan/baphomet:
A downward pointing  pentagram shows a goat's head inscribed in a downward-pointing pentagram, from La Clef de la Magie Noire by Stanislas de Guaita (1897). This goat head is a symbol of baphomet / satan. This goat head is a symbolused in modern occultism and based on Renaissance-era occultism, the pentagram found its way into the symbolism of modern occultists. According to the top satanist Anton LaVey, and ultimately based on a drawing by French nobleman and occultist Stanislas de Guaita (La Clef de la Magie Noire, 1897), the Sigil of Baphomet, a pentagram with two points up inscribed in a double circle with the head of a goat inside the pentagram is the copyrighted logo of the Church of Satan.

Satanist Aleister Crowley made use of the goat headed pentagram in his Thelemic system of magick: an adverse or inverted pentagram represents the descent of spirit into matter, according to the interpretation of Lon Milo DuQuette. Crowley contradicted his old comrades in the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, who, following Levi, considered this orientation of the symbol evil and associated it with the triumph of matter over spirit.
